The watchful eyes
The watchful eye has always been there. It started in church, above the tabernacle. God sees everything. When I looked back, I saw my father’s eyes watching me from the choir. Much later, I spent days drawing in the tombs of Thebes. There were eyes there too. Now there are 33 ceramic eyes in an ever-expanding spiral.
